The flood that struck Porto Alegre’s Historic Center in May 2024 accelerated the Isdra Group’s disaster recovery and system upgrade plans. To ensure the continuity of operations during the climatic disaster in Rio Grande do Sul, the IT team, with support from the Group’s management, expedited the pre-planned implementation of Adentro’s services.

According to Isdra Group’s IT manager, Rodrigo Kasper, the building was isolated, and the company couldn’t afford downtime as its businesses include hotel chains and manufacturing units operating 24/7. “With Adentro, we managed to transfer an enormous amount of data in a very short time, ensuring our activities across all fronts where we operate”.

In addition to preserving data and maintaining services, allowing approximately 600 system users to continue working, Kasper noted that the benefits extended further. The company’s outdated servers were replaced by Adentro’s infrastructure, resulting in increased efficiency.“Our old servers were obsolete. We had to choose between replacing them all or trusting an external data center. The urgency led us to the second option, which proved to be the best decision. Beyond reliability, we gained speed and stability in the system”.

Infrastructure analyst Leandro Fagundes highlighted another crucial aspect of the migration: “Maintaining the on-premises data center during the climate crisis was extremely challenging. With no electricity, about 100 liters of diesel were needed daily to keep IT operations online”.

Adentro’s CEO, Ronaldo Barbieri, emphasized the company’s mission and commitment to building strong relationships with clients and partners. “We are known for our proximity and truly customized services to meet the needs of companies that come to us. Adentro is proud to have been such a crucial support during this critical year for our state. Technology can significantly assist affected businesses, and we are confident our partnership with the Isdra Group is just beginning”.

Founded in 2012, Adentro operates across three data centers in Brazil—located in Rio Grande do Sul and São Paulo. The company serves a portfolio of over 1,600 clients, including prominent brands such as Fruki, Sport Club Internacional, Gente Seguradora, QI Colleges, Emater, and Sulgás. In the first half of this year alone, Adentro saw a 40% revenue increase, with projections of 95% growth by the end of 2024.
